Dosages and administration of Exemestane
For prevention (in bodybuilding): 12.5 mg every other day.
For the treatment of gynecomastia: 25 mg every day until the symptoms disappear (further, 12.5 mg every other day).
Admission to the course of steroids:
When using steroids with short half-lives (testosterone propionate, methandrostenolone): after 10 days of the course, take the assay for estradiol and take 12.5 mg of Aromazine (Exemestane) every other day. Then after 10 days, once again, take tests for estradiol and adjust the dosage of Aromazine (Exemestan) according to their results.
When using steroids with long esters (enanthate, sustanon, cypionate): after 3-4 weeks of the course, take tests for estradiol and take 12.5 mg of Aromazine (Exemestane) every other day. Then after 10 days, once again, take tests for estradiol and adjust the dosage of Aromazine (Exemestan) according to their results.
In sports practice, in particular in bodybuilding, this anti-estrogenic drug is taken predominantly by men. It is usually used during heavy steroid courses of flavoring steroids to block the process of aromatization and certainly to protect against the occurrence of associated side effects (gynecomastia in men, excessive fluid retention, increase in fat layer).
How to apply? If the drug is used to prevent estrogenic side effects during the course, then dosage should be used around 12.5 mg per day or 25 mg in 1-2 days (respectively, half a tablet a day or a whole tablet every 2-3 days). If the reception begins already with the appearance of side effects, then the dosage should be higher – around 25 mg per day (ie 1 tablet a day).
Exemestane, like anastrozole, is an aromatase inhibitor. And, even a little more powerful. Judging by official data, the level of aromatase bound is for anastrozole in the region of 78-80%, whereas for exemestane it is an impressive 85%. At the same time, exemestane is approaching anastrozole at a cost, so to say which of the drugs is the best choice for the “price / quality” ratio is quite problematic.
As in the case of arimidex, only half the tablet of aromazine gives good results, moreover, the drug can be used not every day, but every two to three days.
Exemestane does not possess progestagenic and estrogenic activity. A slight androgenic activity, probably associated with 17-hydroderivative, was noted mainly with the use of the drug in high doses. In studies of prolonged daily administration, exemestane did not affect the synthesis of hormones such as cortisol and aldosterone, whose levels varied before or after the ACTH test; This demonstrated the selectivity of other enzymes involved in hormone metabolism. In this regard, there is no need for replacement therapy with SCS and mineralocorticoids.
The drug is also contraindicated in the pre-menopausal period, for women during pregnancy and lactation.
